I get your analogy. But if you think about men in the same situation as far as dating. The majority walk away.
Think about all the women you dated in your life. There certain behaviors and red flags that you will not put up with no matter how fine she is. These broads can have a terrible experience with a guy and turn right back around and get the same type of guy.
The best advice I got from an OG is "Let a woman talk as much as she wants when you first meet her, She'll eventually tell on herself" This shyt is gold. I've saved myself tons of headaches listening to that advice. But at this point in my life, I can just literally look at a broad and say yah or nay.
I think it’s easier for men to walk away because men can’t really date above their weight class like women can hook up above their weight class. A good analogy for men would be to imagine if a dude that’s a 6 could consistently get dates with 9s and 10s but they rarely or never let him smash. Many guys will continue chasing despite having little to no success because in theory they still have a shot. Years later the same dudes would probably become bitter for wasting their time, similar to many women.
