the cultures values or sentiments you listed are the limited subject matters that rap music has relegated itself too, and that is the limited creative space that i was referring to
i dont think its wrong for an artist to make a hedonistic song in and of itself, i think its bad for black people and hip hop culture that an artist is limited to making hedonistic songs because of the box that profanity has put them in
