how is it undermining church and state ?
If the teacher is not forceing the prayer on the student

Separation of church and state means no overlap between the two.

The highest court in the land ruling school staff can lead a prayer circle....is overlap between the two.

Never mind the fact that, yes, kids will feel forced to comply.

Let the whole class pray aside from 1-2 kids....you think they aren't going to be ostracized?

If the prayer recited is fundamentalist Christian in nature....you think children that practice other religions aren't going to be bullied?

Some of you cats need to take 5-10 minutes to analyze what you're saying before you hit Post Reply.

Don't quote me fakkit

Now all of a sudden these morons want to quote the Constitution when it fits them. The Federal Reserve is Un-Constitutional and no one says a peep about it. Same Federal Reserve that prints money whenever it wants that depletes all of our buying power with the same stagnant wages
Also fukks up the Supply Chain which raises prices of all goods and services. But now they want to complain about "leading kids in prayer". fukking hilarious

This is nothing about the constitution .

Its the ethics and influence of religious period in the supposedly neutral and unbiased education of the American public education system.

Thats why you c00n so goddamn much, everything is binary to your pea brain.

My son: "teeheehee he's talking funny"

It does not undermine church and state to have prayer in schools. Now it would undermine it if someone said a Muslim can t do the same thing

Breh....no disrespect....are you legit mentally impaired?

You know good and god damn well it ain't gonna be equal across the board.

Let a kid from the Church Of Satan ask to lead the prayer. How do you think that would go?

Bullshyt, it wouldnt even matter regardless.

Religious practice does not belong in a public school and should not be led and instructed upon by government employees i.e teachers

As a Christian...

I don't want public school staff to lead children in prayer. Not every Christian believes the same exact thing and I wouldn't want a teacher from another religion leading my child in prayer. The separation of church and state prevents this and protects us more than it hurts. Religious beliefs are taught at home, not at school.

Churches should fall under the same guidelines as a 501c3 organization. If you do not spend all of your "profits" within the fiscal year you should lose your tax exempt status. The money needs to be re-invested into the community otherwise, pay your share of taxes like every other person/business/organization.

Separation of church and state in the United States - Wikipedia

"Separation of church and state" is paraphrased from Thomas Jefferson and used by others in expressing an understanding of the intent and function of the Establishment Clause and Free Exercise Clause of the First Amendment to the United States Constitution which reads: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof...

Article Six of the United States Constitution provides that "no religious test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States". Prior to the adoption of the Bill of Rights, this was the only mention of religion in the Constitution.

The first amendment to the US Constitution states "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof." The two parts, known as the "establishment clause" and the "free exercise clause" respectively, form the textual basis for the Supreme Court's interpretations of the "separation of church and state" doctrine"

Separation of Church and State IS PART OF THE CONSITUTION
