His completion percentage is .

But he did play decently I guess as a frosh when ARob was there.

Doesn't have anything approaching an NFL arm. Every time I've watched him, his passes just float. No zip and he's not really accurate either.

Wouldn't even consider drafting him :yeshrug:

The fact that he is only 20 years old and he has nice measurables may be enough to fool some team into taking him in the late 1st early 2nd especially if he shines during the workouts. But i have never been sold on him and dont think he should be drafted before the 3rd round at the earliest.

It's interesting how the backup QB played better than Hackenberg has all season against probably one of their toughest defensive challenge. The fact that he supposedly needs all the pieces around him since they use that as an excuse for him proves he shouldn't be even looked at for the first two days of the draft

I'll always appreciate Hack for his commitment to the university in hard times and being a stabilizing factor through all of it

But I never bought the "he doesn't have enough around him" argument. Lots of very good skill players on that team, just a below average offensive line. The D is good too. He is the one not elevating them, not vice versa.

He's tough as nails and a good kid so I'm rooting like hell for him in the league but I'm not too confident. Accuracy is the most important trait for a QB but it's his worst. Hopefully some things come together for him.

I'm not a fan of him thanking everyone but Coach Franklin on his way out though. It's seems to fly in the face of the character he's shown his whole career at PSU

I was always concerned that he would never develop under Franklin/John Donovan after the promising season he had under O'Brien with Robinson as his security blanket target. He didn't, all he has is a great arm and an ability to hit every window if has time to throw. Problem is whenever pocket collapsed, his footwork and mechanics went to shyt and didn't know how to maneuver in it either. He's gonna have to land in a spot where he won't start right away (Atlanta, Arizona, Kansas City, Pittsburgh, San Diego, Chicago, and Dallas), but maybe in the future he could be the starter. He would crumble under the spotlight if he had to start right away, especially in a bad situation.

I dont think any of these QB's coming out this year are opening day starters next season.
