I really hope they re-cast him, personally I think Bale was terrible as Batman.
I am not dying to see Bale back in the role but I do see how advantageous it would seem Warner Brothers to have the actor that is already established as Batman in the role just to avoid any chance of audience confusion.

He's an idiot then. True Blood is trash these days
I think he was screwed because he was locked into his True Blood contract and HBO wouldn't let him out of his contract.

Coupled with the fact that they're thinking about how bankable he is. They're weary about hiring someone new and whether or not they're gonna help bring in much needed revenue.

How will this even make sense with The Dark Knight Rises? :mindblown:

If I remember correctly, Bruce Wayne quit being Batman after the events of TDK. Then at the end of the movie, he hands the mantle of Batman to "Robin." This movie will have to take place between Batman Begins and TDK if they want to get in on the Nolan universe.

That wouldn't be that big a deal...they could explain that he came back after a few years off or even better just not mention it at all. While Bale as Batman would be beneficial it doesn't automatically mean that the Man of Steel sequel has to go into any detail about anything that happened in the Dark Knight Trilogy.

It does have to link the 2 trilogies. Have Bale return, and have him explain why he's Batman again. Movies can't ignore canon. That's retarded.

They could get Channing for a lot less and bring the franchise a fresh spin

It doesn't have to do anything of the kind. And you are assuming that Bale returning means TDK trilogy is canon for the Man of Steel movie universe. And even if the Nolan movies were to be considered in the same universe as MOS that does not mean that a Superman movie sequel would have to get sidetracked detailing the events that led Wayne back to the Batman suit.
Something made him become Batman again and now he is fighting/teaming up with Superman. Enough said.

Would someone explain this;

Sources close to Christian Bale have reportedly begun expressing their suspicions that Bale now views the Batman films in the same light that Robert Downey, Jr. views the Iron Man films.

What's Rob's beef?
Bale is the GOAT Bruce Wayne and needs to come back. Just change up Bat's voice, make more him more intelligent like he is in da toons and have him use more gadgets n shyt and it' a win for everyone.
He was a great Bruce Wayne

Aight Batman...okay, a lil less than aight

Like they said on Fan Bros, the Dark Knight was basically the Joker movie...and after 3 watches, I can't defend Rises anymore (stopped a while ago)

That's not enough. We the fans are owed an explanation, and we deserve to have the 2 trilogies make 1 sextology.

So, yes, it has to explain in detail, and get us ready for the next chapter in the saga of these 2 blokes.
