Chris Tucker stopped by the Tom Joyner Morning Show on Friday to talk his IRS troubles (at length), getting back to doing stand-up and upcoming movie roles. The part which matters most occurs around the 9:50 mark, Chris says he doesn’t “think it would be as special” to do another Friday movie, which seems a bit odd since he’s done 50-11 Rush Hour movies already with another possibly on its way. That’s like a prostitute who makes her boyfriend wait before giving up the cookies. Anyway, his denial somewhat contradicts early reports that had our hopes up.

I wonder if the pressure of having to reprise such an iconic role is what’s stopping him from getting on board. Dah well! I’m sure Last Friday can’t get any suckier without him than the last Friday movie whose name I can’t remember which pretty much proves my point.

Chris Tucker Says No To New Friday Movie

You know what...................fukk this nikka B! :pacspit: Friday put you on & you can't do another off principle? You can do 20 Rush Hour sequels though :stopitslime: If George Clooney & Johnny Depp can do little independent flicks, your lame ass can take a small paycut & give fans what they been asking for. fukk you nikka!!!!! :pacspit:

Im pretty sure money talks and dead presidents did more to jump start his career than friday did..

But if you think being in a movie with ice cube gave him more press than co starring next to charlie sheen then more power to you man

I can't even imagine Chris Tucker in that Smokey role any more. Too much time has passed and he has gained all that weight. (But i guess being a habitual chronic smoker would do that to u) Would have loved to see this about 10 years ago but now it would just feel forced and not organic. Even if they do a new Friday with all the other people it just wouldn't feel right. It's been damn near ten years since the last Friday movie came out. Just leave well enough alone.

I'm actually glad it's NOT going ahead because you know it would just be trash. Everyone who wanted to see him reprise his role just wants it to be like the old days but dudes are in their 40s now and the Chris Tucker of the 90s is long gone. Money Talks 2 MIGHT work but it will just be decent at best.

I hate when people wait several years to do shyt that should have been done a long time ago. Plus Chris Tucker should have done a lot more roles (comedy as as well as serious) throughout his career instead of just laying back, so he's only got himself to blame for his financial troubles. And there's no way in hell ANY family member (except your mama) is quitting their job just because I land a movie role worth $20 mill. :smh: fukk that.
