Wait, so obama is supposed to have intimate knowledge concerning the auditing activities of an irs office in ohio? Hea aupposed to know first hand that they were profiling some anti tax tea party scumbags, and making them fill out a few extra forms? Is this country really this fcking retarded? This is why im losing interest in politics. Im just tryin to get my bread up, and fck as many bishes as possible while im still young. This country is too damn dumb for me to care.

I'm at that point too. It's like dealing with a bunch of fifth graders B. the back and forth, political point point scoring and never arriving at the truth is so offputing.

I hardly watch these cable news shows anymore.

The narrative is being formed by the media which is where those low information voters get all of their news and most of their opinions. If MSNBC of all places is carrying the message then the likelihood that it becomes a mainstream thing is high.
So if it turns into a summer of "Obama is a disconnected figurehead whose own staff doesn't inform him of brewing scandals" that won't erode Obama and the Dem Party's political capital with voters?

Lol...of course it won't. If the IRS thing hurts him, it will have zero to do with any of these nuances and distinctions of timing and messaging you're parsing. The public isn't paying attention to any of the minutia of this.

Well you are arguing an entirely different point than the one I made in my initial post. You are talking about the scandal itself and how much it will damage Obama while i was pointing out that Obama's reaction to the scandal is what is making him look bad.

Now you are just being obtuse for the sake of being obtuse.
This is not an either or situation...there has to be a happy balance between "it's all my fault" and "I didn't know jack shyt till I read it on HuffPo" or "My name is Bennet and I aint in it".
He is the president, he doesn't have the luxury of feigning ignorance and claiming that he is totally hands off of all issues that are outside of the Oval office.

even though anyone with half a functioning brain would know that one man could not possibly know every single thing that goes on in the US govt?

shyt the manager at mcdonalds has to delegate responsibility and authority...

people have unrealistic expectations for govt....this is why politics is ineffectual....its too subjective to whatever a persons particular agenda is...

and we all know what the aim of these 'scandals' that pop up every week is...

to keep people distracted...and to give them someone to blame for whatever their particular problem is...
