Very much so for those who continue to vote those same parties in pushing it forward. Everything is a choice...including the future but since people enjoy ignorance they will soon be in it full fledged.

Good Job.

Your acting like a one world government as-long as its constructed in a democratic fashion would be a bad thing... let go of the conspiracy theories

Just believe you voted in people who will help the event to happen even quicker.

or maybe you just stayed home cause it's too cold outside. there's no way to tell the difference, since the result is the same

ultimately the political system is never gonna pander to those that don't/won't vote. it's not like something's gonna magically change if the voter turnout gets down to 20%. the politicians would love it since they would only have to pander to such a small group

a third party vote is a clear signal. a non-vote is just another drop in the sea of non-voters. not to mention that unlike the third party dream of increasing popular vote over time, the non-vote dream of just delegitimizing the voting process is near impossible. you end up letting people have power over you without the slightest say in it

good points..

I hope that makes you feel good. I'd rather concern myself with real world consequences that impact peoples' lives in significant ways than looking at myself in the mirror and going :jawalrus: though.

Lol@the posting spree you're on today. I guess you're trying to single-handedly drown out all the election talk. Good luck.

My vote for Gary Johnson wasnt a waste, fakkit :birdman:

Matthews: Third-party voters are 'idiots' - POLITICO.com

"You just have 2 choices....two"

Proves a huge point...If you don't go with the game plan, you are rediculed.

Wow....Pespi or Coke? I don't even drink sodas anymore but I like the Goya Sodas personally.

Exactly this is what I said...I don't drink sodas like that anymore....if it did I would be Ginger Ale......hence, if Chris Matthews is smug enough to say some shiit like that, just proves my point, MSM is like taking the Blue Pill.........

On a podcast I was listening to this guy was talking about voting for a third-party candidate. He said he didn't agree with either of the two candidates so he preferred to give it to someone else. The reasoning was that if a third-party candidate is running on, just an example, stopping the war on drugs and he gets enough votes maybe one of the two parties can see that there is a large demand for a candidate who is looking to work on/fix the war on drugs, and then through this it might draw more attention to that problem from the two parties.

Made sense to me but you guys know more about this stuff than I do.

I'm a young person an have been on the fence about voting since I turned 18, 22 now. On one hand I always saw it like "it's all just a show to make people feel like they matter, the president and people in power are chosen by the ones that control the money" then I read some of the post here and some of the books I've read an think to myself "wouldn't it be convenient if the people in charge could make everyone feel so powerless to the point the willfully give up their voice and right to chose" :mindblown:

A part of me thinks I should just vote for the worst candidate to come through an really mess things up so the people will get off their ass an stop talking about it an actually be about it, so they'll wake up and see what's going on.
