can't argue with that

Just wish he politicked more so we could get more HBK/RVD piff but it is what it is :manny:
You know I am an RVD stan, but I was always upset that he pretty much hated working in WWE.

He hated the traveling and didn't care enough to talk to people and do what he needed to do to move up.

There are many feuds/matches I wish he would have had more of, Michaels is for sure included.

He came in at a time when the political scene was a pressure cooker. I can relate to a guy like RVD. You have so much talent but you got guys like Austin, Rock, HHH there just monopolizing them spots. Plus guys like Jericho right on the cusp with big heads.

I respect RVD a lot though I respect how he mocked Shane Douglas here. He understood HBK's struggle.

While i agree that van dams psychology left much to be desired, shawn talking about shyt looking choreographed is hilarious, this is a guy who stomped his foot before a superkick, yet the opponent is supposed to dumb enough to walk right into it after hearing him "tune up the band", guess it doesnt matter really, rvd went over on cena, shawn never did
thats ONE spot..and EVERY wrestler does that prior to their move. he's saying it all looks like its a a choreographed match from the bottom up because he always tries to fit every little thing he does into it..sort of like a John Morrison match..comes off more as calculated than on the fly.

I remember peeping this vid right before RVD recently returned to WWE. I wondered what would happen when him and Jericho come face to face again.
It turns out, Jericho was (coincidentally?) on his way out and had to job to RVD in his last recent match. :lolbron:
I wonder if the cameras were rolling backstage :ohhh:I figured they would be stiff as fck, but it was normal.. :stopitslime:

This was the match..It was kinda average

This, except I never really liked him, and I started watching in 97 with WCW. When I became "smart" I appreciated him for his ability, obviously he's good, but I never thought he was cool or likable or aything, he was always corny.

"To all the little Napoleons out there in the back, you only exist here because of me, fall in line"- Nash shooting on little Jericho on Nitro in 97 or 98,

Jericho was already on roster in wcw, before nash came there.
So, I don't get the joke.

No...
Rvd, just played it how he should have.
As originally, the wwe was poised to bury him.
Originally, they never booked him according to draw just like taz.
Also, rvd's criticism of Jericho.
is after Jericho had to salvage his career and submit to a power greater than him.
When, Jericho was a marked man, because cripple ache feared being upstaged without any political fukkery when Jericho was concerned.
Jericho, was just trying to just keep actually working, and get what he negotiated after wcw from wwe.
Rvd, never chased a hart style legacy from stampede, either.
Nor, did rvd wrassle with a whole country in mind, either.
So, I can not really take rvd's commentary as negative against Jericho.
as, i know what took place during that time, polticially in the E.

Only guy that I have EVER heard complain about RVD is Kurt Angle.

Otherwise who has said anything? Post some shyt if you have some, otherwise, nah that whole paragraph is bullshyt.

Rvd, always had that knock against him, though.
He just so happened to work in an environment.
Where he was the top draw in ecw.
So, he never got reprimanded for it.
Plus, the stock of guys rvd came up with, in ecw.
Were not dealing with a political target in the wwe on their back like Jericho.
So, they had no real outlet to complain about and gain sympathy.
With rvd, his comments will just be used to further an agenda.
A political historical agenda, of the wwe to slight stampede based workers.
That rvd, played right into the hands of.

for years and years the internet and dirt sheets sold us on the idea that people like HBK, HHH, and Nash were the worst people in the world, while poor lil abused midcarders like Benoit, Guerrero, Jericho, etc were as pure as the driven snow and the highest of moral character. That narrative didnt really work out so well in the end, huh?

Dirt sheets? Try numerous shoot interviews and book excerpts...they were a$$holes, they'll admit it. Today's wrestling climate doesn't call for any of that foolishness and everybody eats (for the most part). Everyone is older now and wiser, no need to hold grudges and "protect their spot", so to speak.

There was a time where HBK was a terror, but he paid for it and everyone moved on (cept Bret and Cornette, took more time for them)

Nobody is pure as snow (especially that one guy, forget his name :whoa: ) but very few would've done what they did Survivor Series '97, that's one of those boundaries you don't cross, especially at that time, especially against the most loyal wrestler the 'E has ever had, hands DOWN.
