As an aside, I do consider instances like Will Smith as Deadshot and Michael B as Torch to be a lil different... as they're casting those guys to be the leads, as opposed to Idris being straight background status. I'm down for that, regardless of the race bending criticism, as opposed to the wall paper status stuff

Chiwetel Ejiofor's Role In DOCTOR STRANGE Finally Revealed

Deadline has revealed that Chiwetel Ejiofor is set to play Baron Mordo in Doctor Strange. The villain first appeared in Strange Tales in 1963, and is an accomplished user of magic who was trained by the Ancient One. He's a long time foe of Dr. Strange who sided with Dormammu. However, the site adds that while the 12 Years A Slave star is playing Mordo, he may not be a full baddie. Instead, he's going to be "an amalgamation of characters culled from Doctor Strange‘s mythology."

Written by Jon Spaihts and directed by Scott Derrickson, Doctor Strange follows the story of the brilliant and arrogant neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who learns after a horrific car accident that his hands don’t hold the key to his powers. Instead, he discovers the hidden world of magic and alternate dimensions. The movie is currently set to be released on November 4th, 2016.

this is a great look for chiwetel and for marvel in general, years ago I wanted him for Black Panther, but I knew they were never gonna cast him due to his age.

it's fukked up how underrated he still is despite having some good roles and even better performances. I seriously judge people and loathe them if they didn't realize how talented he until he played a slave... they get straight up.

and I wanna see another flick with him and denzel together, cause their chemistry between inside man and american gangster is great.
