good sir isn't what youre asking Bron to do what we pay taxes for? For these mostly useless politicians to actually...be political? Why the fukk should a NBA player get in the middle of this?

Why should they get involved in police brutality then? The difference is that money wasn't at stake.

If you want to be a player, be a player. If you want to speak out and play activist, then do it, even when the bag is on the line.

Anyone who won't talk about China harvesting organs and suppressing Hong Kong for fear of their pockets is nothing but a sell out.

They get involved with police brutality because it’s closer to home and they feel like it can affect them or people in their families. Most NBA players don’t even talk about shyt that happens in the states, let alone international news.

that shyt is happening here, sometimes in their own city or nearby. For a lot of those dudes they have or know people who have been victims of the police. China is 13000 miles away and its people who go to school to study them that and still have no idea how to approach how to comment on it without creating a firestorm. What pray tell can Lebron even say that would help? This is such a stupid fukking take IDK why I'm even responding seriously.

For reference this country boycott the NBA over a tweet. A tweet. Nothing more needs to be said if were being serious. All our preconceptions are true if they so aggy over a random tweet. LBJ reaffirming that does nothing. Its not his job to do so just like its not his job to end police brutality. Its a nice gesture if he comments but no one is looking towards athletes for anything other than athletics, or at least they shouldn't be. We have lifelong politicians to deal with this, yes or no? who is more qualified to speak on this LBJ or a politiican, diplomat, the president...whoever.

These hl nikkas came in this thread early on, trying to shut everyone up including me. Now the truth is here, the white supremacists are doing what I said they would do and they are running with their tails tucked in like some bytches. When their gods aoc and them jumped on this, they tried to control the narrative and call everyone else an idiot.

Maga is my header for different reasons. Clearly I am far from a maga supporter and hate all maga fans and stans

So if they are running with their tails tucked why do people need to be banned?

Just argue it out and let nature take its course.

The US's current president was a real estate mogul and later a reality tv star.
And before his political aspirations, the only time he mention politics was he would run as a Republican as they are stupid in his words.

Even when he took a political measure, it was against the central park 5 and was the face of hate

I’m always having this debate on here, and it’s just a difference of perspective.

I also think it’s hypocritical for players to only speak out for black issues when brown people in south are being thrown into concentration camps at will. A human rights violation is a violation no matter what color the victim is. As a community, the Coli doesn’t agree with me, which is fine.

You think what I’m saying is stupid because you don’t seem to be aware of how large China’s NBA fanbase is.

Lebron could blow this whole thing apart with three words if he wanted to: free Hong Kong.

In some ways, his words would make a larger impact than anyone else who’s involved, including the president.

Yeah, I'm not gonna ridicule players for opting not to speak on it. They speak on things happening over here that affect black people directly, why should they have to talk about what's happening over there?

All thats gonna do is make the Chinese gestapo go and find anyone who owns a LBJ and put them in a concentration camp. You must live in a fairly tale. These dudes boycotted the NBA over TWEETS TWEETS. they obviously give absolutely two shyts what any NBA player has to say about this and them speaking can only muddy up matters further.

its about caring about people.

The issues Lebron speaks about actually dont effect him.
Dude is one of the richest most famous people on earth...if you think he has any idea on what life is like for the everyday black person you are delusional.

People hated for Lil Wayne for saying what he said a few years ago...but at least he was truthful...these cats everyday lives are night and day compared to what anyone on here experiences.

Nah the stakes are too high. If you leave your lane, and start playing the finger pointing game...then don't be surprised when the fingers start to point back at you. There's plenty that the Chinese and other countries could criticize in return. Do they really want to go there?

The NBA is built to entertain basketball fans...it isn't built to engage in diplomacy and foreign relations.

It needs to be muddied because civil liberties are at stake. It's you who lives in a fairy tale, my friend.

As many people should speak out as possible.
