Kerr has an opinion on every issue, he’s a smart man, anyone who is into news/politics knows what’s going on in Hong Kong unless you just don’t care about those types of topics. He saw the backlash and decided to fall back.

I don't understand your argument at all. So you're against Morey because he didn't speak out on any domestic issues and you're also down on Pop and Kerr because they did speak out on domestic issues but it didn't have financial consequences

Of course there are some people who are using this to their advantage to attack NBA even though they are against players/coaches speaking out on things they disagree with (Kaep/NFL)

But the point still stands that NBA handled this situation very poorly and shouldn't be defended just because some scumbags (Ted Cruz/Clay Travis) are using it to prop up their ideas.

Now the most recent statement by Adam Silver is much better but the way they tried to play it off was disgraceful.

i'm not against morey's position on hong kong, i support the hong kong protesters.

it's just that i've rarely seen an issue where almost everyone is a hypocrite:
morey doesn't speak on our domestic issues, comments on hong kong. it just makes me question his motives because did he just do this to be edgy because he saw the latest south park episode? i'm a rockets fan who has seen enough morey content over the years to know he's a libertarian type like matt and trey so i'm sure he watches it.

people who stand with kaep and talk about our domestic issues are like "damn why did morey have to poke his nose into their business?" do you only care about oppression or rights being taken away when it hits close to home?
