Why does Africa need to import rice from China in the first place?

a lot of countries wont give aid to africa if it isn't food aid. which basically floods the economy and kills any potential economic prospects for farmers in the area. USAID is one of the biggest culprits in this. basically subsidizing US farmers who can't sell their shyt here and killing off any potential growth in africa. if they weren't a self serving organization with a fukked agenda and gave money to start farms rather than food aid then a lot of these people could become self sufficient. unfortunately the government isn't interested in africa becoming self sufficient. it's interested in getting rid of food that subsidized farmers can't even sell here. so african farming really can't get off the ground like that. it leads to the need for importing.

food aid is important for serious emergencies when administered correctly. such as natural disasters, famine and civil war, but even in those times the large aid organizations tend to do a horrible job distributing it. it often ends up in the hands of corrupt warlords/officials who sell the food that is supposed to be free. the aid agencies are usually too big to give a fukk. that's why smaller on the ground agencies that know and are focused on the area are much better and more efficient and distributing the aid.

Reports from Spy News Agency indicates that most if not all producers of long gran rice in China are resorting to the production of rice granules from the illegal use plastic – thus mixing the said plastic rice with natural rice for commercial exportation to African countries including Ghana.

The plastic rice, which is feared to be a major causative factor in gastritis and other stomach related disease are been produced through the use of biotechnological systems is feared to be, if not immediately impounded, consumed largely by Africa which happens to be the continent with the largest Chinese rice consumption rate.

So far, experts say there is no scientific rice testing method developed yet to detect this artificial rice from the original ones produced at the various points of entry into countries. Scientists are therefore being called upon all over the world to help avert the cancerous agenda being embarked on by some industry players to cause disease and death on mass scale.

Meanwhile, the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) is to begin checking samples of rice on the market, especially those from China and also to educate importers on the dangers of importing unwholesome food substances into the country.
