Is it just me, or doesnt this seem like a bad idea from a national security standpoint? I recall a single US drone fell down in middle of nowhere Iran, but ended up being reverse engineered by locals. That single drone not only leaked tech hardware secrets, but it also sprung an entirely new drone industry for iran.


So isnt it a bad thing for China to be dropping complex hardware into hostile nation's territories? It should be doable for the JSDF or USAF to scramble retreival subs to that area.
