The reason China can do this is that it has streamlined bureaucracy and little to no red tape.
So many infrastructure projects in America get shot down to republican/democratic bickering. Racism is another reason. Americans would rather be second class than do anything that benefits minorities.

You miss the point of what that man was saying. He's saying that America's strength is actually it's people and how diverse our society is. However, if America wasn't so invested in racism and shutting millions of people out of the economy it could have achieved more.China is WAAAAAAY more racist than America. China, Russia and India are countries where you (as a black person) will openly have your basic human rights challenged on a daily basis even if you’re a citizen. American racism is bad but the Chinese openly and unapologetically despise blacks and seem to think we’re subhuman. Look at what they’re doing in Africa.

Well .... China is more of a homogenus society than the american experiment. Humans have tend move more in one accord when people are pretty much the same. But American has been a pretty sucessful mixed society.
