Could prolly power the whole continent or most of Sub Saharan AfricaI agree fukk China. But this dam needs to get built somehow because its crucial for not just the DRC but surrounding countries.

Fixed.Africa will definitely be one of the moreinteresting placesvassal states of earth in 10-20 years.
even if they sold their minerals at market value (which I believe they do now)
whos gonna build a hydropower plant or bullet train or mega ports . I know it aint them.
Fixed.
They have the potential to become the new Middle East like DUBAI/UAE/etc... but they're about to become the new South Asia or India ...
not really... its a bunch of monarchs and tribal networks, but they use the national resources to pay people off.The Middle East is full of vassal/client states.

Its definitely imperfect, but they're relatively independent.
Theres a spectrum. I'd rather Africa turn the way of Latin America than... the Middle East, but its harder to GET there.
We gotta look at what we have before us.

I'm not going to change my opinions or preferences. You can block me or just deal with itSoit can be under the Monroe Doctrine ?
FUKK OFF
I mean, theres the French model (which is still wild that more people don't know about it more widely) or the Rwanda model... then you've got your legit nation-states like Nigeria, SA, Ethiopia, etc. They are not independent if they're "relatively" independent. It's not different from what you see in big african countries like Nigeria, SA, or Ethiopia. The reality is most countries in the world are not fully independent. They rely on a bigger power as an umbrella. They have no choice. True sovereign countries are rare.
African countries will have different destinies based on their size, resources, leadership, economy, geography, luck, etc. In this aspect, it's important for big african countries to diversify their diplomacy: work with the West but also with China and even Russia. By moving like that, you're dependent but you avoid becoming a full vassal.
And there is nothing attractive about what Latin America became. African countries should bide their time and aim at becoming independent countries. But t will take time and some sacrifices.

Black Americans are the wealthiest part of the African diaspora. Its incumbent on Western blacks to have a critical role in the development of Africa and its interests.
The Russians, Chinese, and to a lesser extent Indians won't just sit by and let Africa rise on its doorstep without having a say in it. America shouldn't stand by either.
Its going to benefit someone, might as well be us.
Thats why you gotta tip your had to Ethiopia...they got Egypt MAD right nowchina is taking over the Africa and crooked politicians in Africa are letting that shyt happen
sure they will build some businesses, factories, plants and whatever, next thing you know there is chinese military all over the place and you have chinese kicking black folks out of their place because they don't have enough spot in china so it's time to explore other regions. Does gentrification ring a bell to you? It's very naive thinking that a country like china is there just for the good cause
