What was the Chinese government's response? They executed some of the company leadership and imprisoned the gov officials that looked the other way and anyone else that was involved. Why? Because the law actually means something over there but over here companies can sell you supplements that will fukking kill you and nothing happens to them because america is an oligarchy pretending to be a democracy.
A private company could poison your town's water supply and get a mild fine while you and your family face bankruptcy over your medical bills but it's communism and apparently unamerican if you try to regulate the business that did that. It's a bizarre form of gaslighting when you are offering constructive criticism of the country because you want it to improve and you're being insulted.
America is still in the denial stage. Eventually the reality of how corrupt our government is will set in and I hope a liberal party is able to take over and overhaul things and mend America's reputation within the world because right now it is not looking good.

I don't agree with that. We're not just talking about internet forums, but everywhere. Censorship under an authoritarian regime like China's would crush all forms of free, open discussion, and even dissent against authority. None of that would be tolerated. Misinformation is hard to counter at times, especially when it's being pushed intentionally by bad actors, but I'd rather be able to try over the alternative.

American businesses, dumb enough to business there gave up their IP only to see China create knock off versions of their same products or services and kick them out. It was one of the few things I agreed with Trump where he wanted to battle China on that.
