Off 1st listen it was ok. The songs he dropped prior to the album coming out are the high points.
It's something that I have to sit on and give it a few more plays, but it didn't blow me away initially. I thought I was going to be though after hearing the singles.

The singles are easier to listen to I'll agree but there is some really good quality funk when u get past it

I know, it's really soulful and funky, I just have to let it marinate a bit. I was catching some of the gems in the messaging on the records, just have to play it a few more times to grasp everything. The album is pretty good definitely my favorite from him.
Standouts: Boogie Man, Zombies, Terrified, Redbone, Me and Your Mama
