Sort of boring. I had high hopes for this too.

Only the singles have caught my ear. Rest just sounds like a Parliament Funkadelic cover band that tried to make original music

Agreed. It's conflicting because this kind of music needs to be made more nowadays, but it's just not done well. Glover always gets props from me though, the fact he tried to come with a different sound... and a couple tracks are decent.

Although it'll take me a while to properly digest this, the direction is getting clearer and clearer with each run through (even if it ain't all there vocally). Baby Boy is definitely the standout track (besides Redbone), and one of the very few joints where he has everything in balance.
