People must forget these people buy teams to make money and make even more money when they sell the team.
100%, which is why they should make investments in their own stadiums. TF do everyday taxpayers look like giving you money to make your asset more valuable when you sell it later and don't share any of the profits with them?

We should be more like the UK. When a footy team wants a new or renovated stadium over there, they build it or renovate it themselves.

America is slowly waking up. As things get tighter and they pockets get run even more, even the most unaware citizens will begin to realize they’re being fleeced

Yup. Greed by the rich has been proven time and time again throughout the course of history to be the fall of empires. You'd think these mufukkaz would learn but nope.

Glad people waking up to this bullshyt.

furthermore, it's been proven time and time again that new taxpayer-funded stadiums do NOT benefit the taxpayers who fund said stadiums. it benefits the owners, politicians and the elite :camby:

That's a shyt rendering for where they want to put the new K at downtown. 1) it's in a historical and rejuvenated side of town. To do that would crush a LOT of small business owners. 2) traffic in that area is already a bottleneck and MDOT hasn't done anything to fix some of the shyttiest interstate roads, alleviate the bad traffic nor the confusion of exiting off the interstate to get to the downtown or West Bottoms area since I've been living off and on in the KC area (05-present). It's a total clusterfukk down there. 3) The city has bigger fish to fry than this. The KS side will probably give one of these teams what they want. I could definitely see them building a new stadium out by the Speedway but again, the infrastructure is shyt. On race day it's terrible. God forbid it's the same day as a Sporting KC match and the Legends is packed, plus the Monarchs are there. The Royals may pull some Braves BS and go to Johnson County on some, "we're relocating to where a lot of our season ticket holders are located at" BS. The fact the Royals AND the Chiefs got Jackson County (and it just wasn't JC but I wanna say Clay County residents) to foot the bill on renovating both stadiums when both teams were poorly ran (Chiefs w/ Hunt and Pioli & the Royals with the Glass Family fukkin the franchise for years).

Why say "probably give one of the teams what they want"? Royals been garbage forever and Chiefs coming off 3 superbowls:mjlol:

Not even sure why this is set up as a package deal. Shouldnt residents have the option to tell the team they dont care about leaving to go to hell? Seems like one team trying to attach their garbage franchise to another.

With that said, couldnt happen to a better fanbase if they do leave:mjgrin:.

The way they celebrated the Raiders leaving their real fanbase high and dry? Now we wait:respect:

I thought we would have reached this point in 2008, but better late than never. :ehh:

Duval County
I think they will most likely move to a different county instead of changing states and leaving entirely

They do have the 3rd oldest stadium in the league so something's gotta give, owners should be ashamed, yes, but im surprised that KC let their stadium go so long without any periodic updates to the stadium or surrounding area. I think the most renovating they had was to add that scoreboard and that was like a 10 million dollar project at most

Send the Raiders back to Oakland and we'll take the Chiefs. They'll can change the colors in the stadium, and the Chiefs have won more here than the Raiders have.
