Nah but you can put a harsh penalty on those bad decisions.

They're always talking about player safety.

DWI should be a 2 game ban, no questions asked. Dudes might think twice about calling the team service or a cab or even paying a dude to be DD.

Imagine if a DWI brought a season long ban??? :gladbron: I'd actually be all for it.

I've got NO respect for drunk drivers/driving (even though I've done it :sadcam:).

I`d rather have it bring that than bring nothing like it's doing now.

It's a lot more serious than it gets treated. NFL worried about everything else petty but once a month their employees are getting caught doing one of the most deadly things you can do.

The crazy part about pro athletes that get DUIs is that they have enough bread to catch a cab home. There is really no excuse for them to drive drunk. A regular person with an average salary workinea 9-5 I could kinda understand them drinkin a few and not wanting to pay a lot of bread for a cab. But these foolz be havin bread. Spendin a hunred bucks or more to get home is nothin compared to the cost of a DUI

Anyone out drinking at a bar has enough money for a cab. It's arrogance and ignorance.

That's why I posted the Akbar Gbaja-Biamila article which went largely ignore here like DWI's with athletes alwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaays does.

Dude said money aint even the point with athletes, he said athletes don't like to admit they're drunk because in their line of work letting your body be "defeated" is a slight against your pride.

So he's saying really it's just a bunch of arrogant idiots getting fukked up and being too proud to call for a ride.

This thread http://www.the-coli.com/coliseum/69...dwis-nfl-friday-nights-link.html#.UNnIEW9fDwI which got 6 posts and 136 views. Because here on the Coli we never like holding athletes responsible.

I believe teams or the NFL provides car services.

Some teams also provide car services, the issue is that some players are just too lazy and cheap to pick up the phone for a private cab service.

Some of the players probably think it's easier to just drive home instead of waiting for a private cab and paying for it.

not the case maybe if you by yourself but if you go out with a friend it usually they are the ones who either gonna try and stop you or there gonna let you get behind the wheel

I posted an article from Akbar Gbaja-Biamila all about this. How athletes are just too arrogant to use the ride home.

Really makes it even more offensive that they're always getting DWI's and there is no punishment from their employers and the league that cares so much about safety.

Hit a defenseless receiver, suspension and 25k fine, drive drunk and put you and others lives in danger, no biggie.

:wtf:

Why should their employers punish them?

I don't know no one outside of taxi cab drivers that might possibly get punished for getting a DUI by their employer.
