this is a direct page out of Jay-Z playbook. Jay-Z didnt like Kanye at first, remember it was Dame who put him on. Kanye gets recognition all of a sudden he that nikka best friend. Kanye sucking Jay-Z so long you cant expect him not to mimic jay's procedure to stay relevant.

10 New Chicago Rappers To Watch Out For | Complex

Relatively unknown outside of high schools and pockets of the Southside, Chief Keef didn't catch the media's attention until a video of an adolescent boy losing his mind as he celebrated Keef's release from jail landed on WorldstarHipHop in January. At that moment the world was introduced to a 16-year-old who was already considered a star in his neighborhood—and we were late.

Keef's viral hit "Bang" was already an anthem for teens across the city (with 400K YouTube views), but once the blogosphere caught wind, the clip shot to over 750,000 views. Shortly thereafter Lil B jumped on the remix, and Soulja Boy contributed a verse to another of Keef's hits, "3Hunna."

With alleged interest from Bad Boy, Def Jam and a host of other labels, it's been rumored that Keef has affiliated himself with Soulja Boy's SODMG click. Love him or hate him, Keef’s unapologetic gang and gun talk has made him the most polarizing figure in Chicago hip-hop.

Eh Just Blaze says Dame Dash used to shyt on Kanye and him.
He also says Jay-z was the first person to put him on a track (the bouce), he also says Jay-z told him to sit back, learn and focus on what he's doing best right now and his time will come.

Dudes always breaking down shyt like children in this hiphop shyt.

What are you saying though?
That he was famous cause he was on a list with 9 other unknown cats?

Was I don't like poppin? yes.
Did Kanye west's remix make him a lot more famous? yes.

Now what's really good, why are you dudes co-signing the fakkitry of this ignorant kid? I mean it's cool if you are 14 year old fan of his, but what are we really discussing? No one claimed Kanye made him famous. Certain people just didn't know of him until Good musics remix. And because of that people are saying fukk kanye?

I can't believe nikkas in here acting like nikkas supposed to be scared of Kanye :rudy: Keef was hot without that dikkriding fakkit.

Kanye done lost his damn mind, hopping from trend to trend, and that's all he did on that remix.

Keef supposed to grateful for Kanye trying to piggyback off that nikka wave? Y'all nikkas sound stupid. I'm from the Southside, a lot of y'all nikkas would get beat up trying to live in the city

You're being very generous..

you right. Dude is a walking disaster. For all the talk about Odd Future being too crazy, they at least confirm to basics of the "recording artist playbook." Interviews, promotion, etc. Keef couldn't give one fukk about that shyt and it shows whenever he does an interview. Trust me, no radio person gonna give you shine if you disrespect them by giving a wack interview.

If this is true, Keef needs to chill :whoo:

This right here. Yes Kanye didnt make Chief Keef but in a way he did "break" Chief Keef. A friend of mine new about him before the remix and put me on but the only reason why the other nikkas we fukked with even cared is because of the hype surrounding the Kanye remix. And when a popular artists cosigns your movement your demand skyrockets. Chief Keef in Chicago is similar to Fat Trell in the DMV but if Trel were to get a major cosign and have an anticipated remix for one of his songs by Rick Ross and MMG or Wayne and YMCMB that would really do wonders for his career.
