NY gun laws are pretty much meaningless. They are designed to keep guns out of the hands of people, but particularly criminals right? Well the definition of a criminal is somebody who breaks laws…so how exactly is that supposed to work? Is it logical to think there are people who would risk the lengthy sentences for armed robbery and murder but draw the line at the extra few years you add on for a gun?
Also, America has a thriving black market. The fact that there may not be a bunch of legal gun stores is also meaningless. You can buy guns on the street in any state in this country.
NY is connected by highway to states where they sell guns like candy. In Georgia a few years back, there were two counties that actually passed laws making it illegal to NOT own a gun.

The I-95 is a pipeline of guns. The city may have tough gun laws but illegal gun flood the city everyday from PA to Florida. What this have done is making criminals and thee police owning guns while citizens are unarmed. The funny thing I don't get is how alot of black folks are anti gun because why do you trust racist ass police who hate black people to be the only ones having guns? White boys own the majority of firearms in this country. They are the majority in law enforcement and the military in America. Doesn't make sense for your safety and existence lie in the hands of a government thats getting more and more fascist as the years go on. And historically despises you. This line of thinking when you think about it makes no sense.
