Lowkey this also might be a roundabout way to get people to move out the city to gentrify further

I’m sure the powers that be wants Chicago to be like San Fran, New York, la, Miami, etc

Global cities full of rich people and poor ass workers, seems like that’s the trend America has been following

What I don’t understand is if they going to use Chicago as a sanctuary city where is the money to help with this shyt

The gov just going to let cities spend themselves broke to accommodate whatever agenda they got?
This is mostly due to mismanaging of funds. A ton of no-bid contracts went to companies to handle the migrant crisis.

@KamalaHQ
Trump: They say I told Republicans to kill the bipartisan border security bill. I sort of like that. No one has had power like that in a long time

The a$$hole admits to blocking the Border Bill because it made him feel powerful.

Screw You America

When I say “America First,” I actually mean “Trump First”

@Tired_Nonsense_
He put his desire to feel powerful over what was good for the American people. Again.

NOT the Biden Administration or Democrats: it’s Trump and Republican sycophants for Trump’s border security problem.

“¡TRUMP ES EL DIABLO!”

TODD BENSMAN spoke to War Room from Tapachula, the southernmost city in Mexico, where migrants told him they hope to reach the U.S. before the November 5th election and a possible Trump victory.

Bensman explained that mass numbers of migrants were transported south from northern Mexico “to keep them off of our border for the election campaign.”

“Eight months ago the Biden Harris administration cut a deal with Mexico to decongest our border for the election, to make it look less like the spectacle that it was,” he said. As a result of that deal, migrants are being contained by Mexican authorities in “cage cities” in the southern state of Chiapas.

Tens of thousands of immigrants from all over the world are “trapped and bottled up, here,” he said.

Although the exact terms of the agreement between the Biden Harris administration and Mexico have not been made public, Bensman surmises that the deal is likely time-limited.

“The American people need to understand that after November fifth, there’s a pretty good chance that the Mexicans are going to be like, we have met our obligation, you are all released.”

Bensman said about 150,000 migrants are trapped by roadblocks in Tapachula, while tens of thousands more are in the city of Villahermosa and other “cage cities” in the South of Mexico.

A wide range of nationalities have reached Mexico. “They’re pouring in from all over the world,” Bensman said, including from Vietnam and Albania.

“At least 60,000 Chinese have crossed our southern border in the last 18 months. The vast majority came right through this town. I see them all over the place.”

Bensman observed that Chinese are not trapped, like other migrants. “They are very wealthy, the elite of Chinese society. Business people, professionals, and they have a lot of cash.”

Bensman explained that Chinese migrants are able to stay at the best hotels and buy passage through Mexico by paying the cartels to assist them.

“The whole world is coming through here,” he said.

Bensman described the situation in Tapachula as “an absolute pressure cooker,” not only because of all the migrants being transported south, but also because more are coming across the Guatemala border every day.

Bensman said a relatively small number of migrants are receiving CBP One appointments, and they get permission from the Mexican government to fly to Tijuana or take buses escorted by Mexican police and Guardia Nacional.

In a video report posted on YouTube, Bensman said cartel coyote human smugglers are charging $100 per head for migrants to cross the Rio Suchiate from Guatemala into Mexico.

Bensman also posted drone video footage to X, showing a “mass illegal migration mall” under construction in Tapachula “that’ll house UN agencies and nonprofit migration-help groups under one convenient one-stop shop roof.”

A limited number of migrants are already on the move. Mexican authorities are permitting a caravan of about 1,000 people to proceed from Tapachula on foot toward Mexico City, Newsweek Español reported on Thursday. “The group’s migrants said they want to cross [the U.S. border] in November, in case legal routes are closed if Trump wins the presidential election.”

On October 1, soldiers of the Mexican Army opened fire on a vehicle carrying migrants in Chiapas when it tried to evade a military checkpoint. Eight migrants were killed and 10 more were injured.

There was so much foreign funding in the Border Bill that Dems and Republicans voted against it.

The border bill should be about the border.

Not a different country's border.

Here's what the Democrats tried to sneak inside the bill:

[Quoted tweet]
LIE: Trump is to blame for the 10M illegals Kamala Harris let into the country because he “blocked” a “border security” bill.

TRUTH: The “Border Security” bill had almost nothing to do with border security and it was introduced 3 years too late.

Here are the facts:

Harris cites the “Border Bill” which would have “fixed” the border crisis but the reality is, the so-called “Border Bill” was packed with initiatives that had nothing to do with the border.

Donald Trump didn’t need a bill to fix the border, just like Kamala shouldn’t need one right now.

Here are some of the items included in the "border" bill that had nothing to do with border security:

• $60.06 billion to support Ukraine in its fight against Russia. (Roughly 3x more than what the border security would receive.)

• $14.1 billion in security assistance for Israel.

• $2.44 billion to support operations in the U.S. CENTCOM and address unrest and combat expenditures in the Red Sea.

• $10 billion in humanitarian assistance to civilians in Gaza and the West Bank, Ukraine, and other populations caught in conflict zones across the globe.

• $4.83 billion to support Indo-Pacific allies and deter Chinese aggression

• $2.33 billion to continue support for Ukrainian refugees displaced after the war against Russia.

• $400 million for the Nonprofit Security Grant Program in aid to help nonprofits and places of worship enhance their security.

TOTAL: $94.460 billion US taxpayer dollars going to non-border crisis-related endeavors.

Imagine a big ass city like Chicago taking out a payday loan to pay off teachers (he was a teacher)

I just see headlines and clips of what he says he is extra stoopid and goofy. I think he just spent like $30,000 remodeling his wife's office or some shyt too.

Brandon a wild boy :mjlol:

After two years and half a billion dollars spent, Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson announced Monday that the city's migrant mission would effectively end Dec. 31. The city's migrant shelter system will close as we know it, and both migrants and Chicagoans experiencing homelessness will have to compete for available bed space under an umbrella system designed to address housing needs for anyone in need.

Johnson's announcement marked the start of the "One System Initiative," a city-designed plan that has been in the works for months. Under the transition, anyone with housing needs will have compete for 6,800 available beds, down from 15,000 during the height of the migrant crisis. Currently, there are more than 5,000 people in the city’s migrant shelter system.

When asked by NBC 5 Investigates if the timing of Monday's announcement was driven by the city's impending deficit, Johnson said, "We’re doing it because it's the right thing to do. It's the right thing to do. We will get to the financial ramifications of it, but I want people to know we stand up for our values."

I just want the people of Chicago to know how appreciative I am of their dopeness. There’s nowhere else on the planet that has been able to stand the test of time in this crisis,” Johnson said.

Appreciative of their dopeness?:mjlol:

These Blue cities are getting fleeced by Biden and Kamala.
:mjlol:

To date, the city has spent more than $541 million on the migrant mission, with $308 million going to Kansas-based Favorite Healthcare Staffing, a private company whose contract with the city runs through April of next year.

And with more migrants on the way.
