I'm all for strongly advising the public to stay at home but using the stay at home order as a tool to criminalize black residents is wrong and is bordering on violating civil liberties of the citizens.
It's in bad taste when you consider downtown Chicago was just bombarded with protesters who were clearly violating the stay at home order and many of them were armed.
The mayor should have found a light hearted way to encourage people to stay inside instead like always as it pertains to the poor black community everyone is ready to lock up everyone while ignoring this stay at home order has been violated by all groups of people. I don't appreciate the singling out of black communities and I especially don't appreciate treating a bunch of young people who wanted to party like they just robbed a bank while doing very little to all those white protestors. One group is being allowed to still display their constitutional rights and the others are already being hit with forms of martial law.

Latino and black populations in Illinois are isolated to only a few parts of Illinois with most of them in the Chicagoland area
Secondly if you read the article you would know that just a few weeks ago over the entire state blacks were more infected than Latinos and the Latinos have now surpassed blacks.
The point is you can't continue to use a skewed data point in the 1st place to condemn the black community and then in turn criminalize the black community. For 1 articles are beginning to admit that the numbers themselves are misleading for several reasons and 2 the practices of groups violating the social distancing and stay at home orders have been violated by everyone. So "most effected" can't be the means to lock up black folks.
