Brock definitely has a template for his matches. But honestly I don't think it's a Brock is lazy thing I just think he doesn't go all out for guys he doesn't perceive as being on his level. I feel like it was the same with Dean and I can't really blame him because wwe wasn't booking Dean to come off that way. Brock always puts in work with guys that haven't been ruined by WWE's shytty booking. Just my opinion though

Flippy wrestling has the potential tell a story every bit as much as some slow-paced cowbell match from the Crockett era could. It's just a different story.

People overstate this "telling a story" shyt because salty old grizzled vets say it all the time in shoot interviews so it becomes canon. As if wrestling "back then" was some bastion of narrative performance art. Mostly it was actually just some big fat white guy yelling incoherently at some big oiled up bodybuilder and then them lazily throwing unconvincing punches and mat-stomping kicks at each other until one of them fell down. And then the referee is distracted at the exact right moment for someone to be blinded by talcolm powder, but it's ok because if they beat him down long enough, his invincibility perk kicks in. Because ultra-realism is what we're going for damnit. Not like this choreographed shyt nowadays.

Nah man, i used to think the same way but if you start listening to like al snow and austin and guys like that break down ring psychology, it really is stuff that probably went over the fans head and is only now becoming mainstream with the advent of podcast.... It's like if you start watching the director of a movie explain the reasoning for the lighting and the reason for a specific shot angle, etc you become better educated.... you start appreciating little things you didn't even realize or thought about before...and you start realizing that the gymnastic stuff is really to elicit a holy shyt or this is awesome chant...not really to build a emotional connection or elicit sympathy....they don't sell...

To get Roman cheered when he finally wins. These marks already were cheering when Roman did his "shoot". From a guy who "cuts bad promos and has no charisma". They're really easy to control.

But they'll get their wish of having a champion that's in random segments and matches every week that no one gives a fukk about five minutes after they're over.

That tag match with Finn balor on that raw 2 weeks before Great Balls of Fire though! Remember that?

The title is relevant when it is being defended every month against jobbers. Watch the next PPV featuring Baron Corbin and Dolph Ziggler challenging for the title! I can't even name the other people in the match other than Cena and AJ but relevance!
