I understand that. What is going on in Chicago is the same thing going on in Baltimore,New Orleans,Minneapolis,Memphis,Camden. And the causes are very complex comes from all sides. I get the city of Chicago is closing schools and rec centers and there is little to no employment opportunities for black men in general in this country. I understand that the CPD has been crooked since the days they waged war against the Black Panthers and assaninated Fred Hampton. I know white supremacy plays a major is pumping the hood with guns and drugs. At the same time there is plenty of black men and woman who made it out the hood and did not partake in the streets.
These cowards be having shootouts on broad day. And they be killing innocent women and children. And we see more mother crying. These nikkas have to called out and shamed not coddled.


Secondly we can not deny that 2 generations of widespread single parenthood has played apart with this. We are already at the bottom of every economic merit in this country. Add upon that having a child while being a single parent drives you to poverty. Every study has shown a child raised in a single parent home is less likely to succeed economically, is likely to do poor in school,more likely to have psychological issues. A child needs two parents to raise it. A house with no father leads to chaos and disorder. The black community is in shambles because of this. These young nikkas in the streets have no guidance. They are lost and angry and use that anger and pain to join gangs. They take out their emotional pain by killing their opps which in turn makes them into stone cold killers. The white man put a trap but we must be smart enough not to fall for it.

I don't even think the problem is about who's smart enough...it's more so who's willing to do the sacrifice to fix this, in a system where everybody's trynna make money to consume the best the US market has to offer (and ya'lls market has a fukking ton to offer to all layers of society).

It's a culture of greed/selfishness that propagates within America, that is so ingrained into the system that most people don't even notice it. The amount of non-sensical homicides – and by nonsensical I mean there are americans that kill that don't even really have a reason too, like the millionaire shooter in Nevada – is proof that something's severily wrong with the culture. But the think pieces avoid that "dead end" conversation because no one dares to say things should change radically. Everybody wants change in a way that does not directly affect them.

I think that the forefathers (or fore bearers or whatever) of the entertainment industry in America knew exactly how powerful it could be in terms of expanding American culture, which of course worked as there isn't many parts of the world where people don't recognize the American flag. But they obviously forgot to account for how powerful it could be in corrupting the fabric of society from within.

Exactly. My pops told me how my grandfather saw a drive by in the 30’s up there, some cac Mob shyt, he was coming out of a bar and just randomly saw it down the block. Some white dudes in a car dumping on some white dudes standing on the street. Like some shyt out of black and white old school movie. Got a cousin who stay down in South Shore now, on the same street where Al Capone mentor got shot 8 times damn near 100 years ago. Now on those same corners young brehs is doing the exact same thing. But they demonize our shyt but yet romanticize and make Hollywood movies when they do it. From the stories I’ve heard from my family about growing up there, it sounds like it was a lot worse back in the day. One of my uncles favorite redundant ass stories to tell at family gatherings was how during a week back in the 70’s, Chicago had more killings than Vietnam. And he been saying that tired ass story for decades, so clearly this shyt ain’t new.
