Parenting only goes so far. Once a child leaves the house they have to make their own decisions. If nikkas choose to hang with the wrong crowd so they can be "popular" or if they hear too much bullshyt music and feel they want to be like these rappers, then what the parent has instilled in their child kinda takes the back seat...

This is somewhat true.. Some kids will slip through the cracks and do the dummy even if patented correctly.. But even then, just because some kids commit violent crime who come from a decent home means we need to stop parenting? I'd rather see abortions than see people have kids and not take care of them with all their might.. Thats selfish as fck..

I was one of those kids as a teenager trying be a gangster to get women and clout. It had nothing to do with my parents it was peer pressure and a lack of self esteem. Outside of athletics there aren't many outlets for kids in the hood to build positive self esteem.

I don’t live there so someone correct me if I’m wrong but I think outside of the south side the city is relatively safe. Just avoid going to the south side or anywhere near it and you’ll be safe.

Wicker Park in the Northside just got sprayed up this weekend. Recently the more affluent areas like Lincoln Park and River North have actually attracted more of the wild crimes lately.

I mean, would that be a bad thing at this point? This has to stop. They’re terrorizing the city, and hurting mostly black people. I really want to believe there are people there who don’t want the violence, but can’t afford to move.

The sad part about it is, I wouldn’t be mad if it happens. The biggest complainers of it are gonna be people who don’t live in the city or people who live in relatively safe areas of the city. I mentioned before in this site, but my dad almost got car jacked driving Uber.

For large segments of the population, the culture is fukked up. Like that young breh that shot his school up in Texas, you got kids who grew up in comfortable 2 parent homes in nice areas still on some hood shyt and fukk up any type of future wealth because mom and pops don't give a damn, or the money came from military residuals or some shyt not tied to education level (deeper discussion).

Have many relatives in education. Even with scholarships, schools with resources, and talented teachers, if the parents don't care about education, and kids see no examples/role models of the life a solid degree can get you, no amount of public policy will impact crime short of more Crime Bills.

That’s exactly what they are doing. The fukk are you talking about? Carjack is not vehicle theft. Carjack means someone was in the car.

I know what a carjacking entails. I’m saying that it’s slways someone rushing either the driver’s side door or the passenger’s and opening it. I’ve just never heard of someone being carjacked by an assailant who broke their window and pulled them out of the car. If that happens, it’s rare.

Definitely don't stop parenting. I was just pointing out that all children won't be saved, simply because of the environment and other kids that can't be saved.
