I wish we cared more about the images that we broadcast to the entire world. Some of these folks will never really know a black person on a personal level in real life but they know us from these images we display of ourselves through the tube, internet, etc. Perception is everything.

the issue at hand is overall negative social conditioning, poverty is just one problem among a whole host of others, but it's the primary issue being discussed here, so it's the one I addressed (and it's more than just being poor, it's the choices being poor leads you too, including immoral ways of making money). What's so hard about understanding that it's our that environment shapes all of us, good or bad (a proven fact btw)?
