It sucks that he left us without making a last true LP album, I hate One More Light and did feel like the band sold out on that one, even Hunting Party was a pseudo return of old LP stuff, but nothing will top Meteora, LP, and Reanimation for me. It all fukking sucks, from losing Cornell, to even losing Layne...

I dunno, the black man in America has been able to sustain through all of the atrocity. I feel a certain way about suicide. Six kids? Come'on shawty.. shyt couldn't have been THAT bad.

Suicides are a HUGE underreported issue in non-white communities all over the world, don't get it twisted.

In America it is significantly higher amongst white men in particular, but it's still not to be taken lightly. I feel like white America /Europe in general do NOT want us really having a look at mental health issues in our communities. We're conditioned to keep taking on more and more shyt, I'm not convinced that this is always a good thing (NOT saying suicide should be our answer, of course).

this may be an ignorant question...but does this force linkin park to stop making music/performing? like what do bands do when their lead singer passes?...I know in rock, band members be in like 6 different side project bands...so do they just start doing those full time?

since they were on tour...does it fully get cancelled?

This is very true...

I used to be very firm in my belief that suicide is for the weak and is taking the easy way out but after being in a relationship with an extraordinary woman that was (and luckily still is) living with a terminal illness that renders her incapable of anything close to a normal life including not being able to have children, I have become much more flexible on the issue and can understand how a person can choose to go down that path when they are carrying so much pain inside & nothing can be done to relieve it...

I still care for this person even though we aren't together, I'll never forget when she told me "suicide isn't for the scared and weak, it takes a strong person to carry it out to conpletion. I honestly wish I had enough courage to go through with it." It broke my heart knowing how much pain she was it to feel like that but it also gave me a new perspective & made me realize for a lot of suicidal people ending it all is actually being strong in their POV...

That's all I care to say about that issue, r.i.p. Chester....

This shyt is sad man. It scares me because I've dealt with depression in the past and I'm scared of getting that bad and feeling there's no other way to deal with it than just not dealing with it.

Linkin Park was a pretty big part of my childhood. That and 2 people I know the past month have killed themselves. What's the point of all the pain if you don't have to deal with it? If you don't need to? I'm rambling but goddamn life is tough sometimes. I sympathize with anyone who has ever gone through with it. Sometimes in the past I've wished I had the balls to. But that's life I guess
