One of the reasons I love fighting games is because they are very chess like. Gotta be one step ahead of the opponent, know how to play safe, when to take risks. On top of that you actually have to have very quick fingers and the difficulty in execution that doesn't exist in chess.

Afterschool, a bunch of friends and I ain't have shyt to do, so a couple teachers would play chess with us. We were troublesome, but I really learned how intelligent some of my friends really were playing that shyt.
