2071?

:wow:

I think the highest I ever hit was 1600-odd and in reality I'm about high 1400's for 5 - 10 mins games.
Best thing to do is just keep playing and reviewing games. Even in bullet, speed matters but having a solid understanding of middle game positions and tactics will always get you farther.

Used to be around 1500 on chess.com back in the day which is not really high but but i would regularly beat all of my friends (except this one dude but he actually was part of a chess club). Anyway used to spend hours playing game after game.

I fell off really bad though and now i struggle to beat the computer at a 1300 rating...

Still a fun game. I love that it makes me forget everything from the outside world. You' sole focus is scheming on how to get that slight advantage and then leverage it into a checkmate.

Don't really know much about strategies. My main approach to it is to try to either capture a pawn or other piece or to try to get you to fukk up the way your pawns are laid out (get you to double up pawns or to make some of them stand alone) and once i have one of those advantages i try to trade pieces aggressively. I figure any short term advantage i have gets amplified the less pieces there are on the board and the more we move towards the end game. It also provokes mistakes from the opponent. I don't know if that makes sense but that's my basic approach.
