Every nation has different citizenship requirements. Some are based on historical rolls, some are based on blood quantum, and others require both. For the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma, I believe they require you to have an ancestor listed on the Dawes Roll... kinda crazy given how fukked up that process was, but imperialism has created a conundrum for Native nations.
