I had a hard time following this.
Can someone explain to me why
the 3 dudes who got charged were
in such a rush to run that test?
What was the purpose?

Like another poster said, they would’ve gotten a big promotion off of it. but the other thing was they thought they had a perfect fail safe button in case anything went wrong.

This is the big problem with nuclear power. everybody thinks it’s perfectly safe until they discover that one tragic flaw that could cause a melt down.

Nah, a lot of countries are way more professional. It's a TV series to show how pathetic soviet russia's system was, where they lived in feudalism rules with classes that must listen to higher up classes. Russians still to this day live in such a mindset. If we had to rate all the cacs, then slavs would be at the very bottom - lower than american rednecks, irish or italians.
