My god the acting in this is incredible. I can't believe countries would build nuclear facilities. Its only a matter of time time before this shyt happens again.

What made this one worse than the one in Japan that happened recently?:jbhmm:

The core in Fukashima wasn't destroyed like in Chernobyl.

So I finally watched ep 1 and 2. :wow:

I love the meeting where he explains whats going to happen.

Those 2 dudes who were calling him a liar even tho the dude they sent confirmed the core exploded:what: Hopefully they got executed on the spot.

In ep 3, they knew to isolate their clothes, but still touched them :why:

Show is piff. No wonder ole boy murked himself. Who want to die like that:lupe:

He was on his death bed saying "I did everything right" :mjcry:

Vasily and his dudes had to buried in a wooden casket nailed shut and stuck in a zinc tomb and buried in a cement filled grave. Jesus Christ :mindblown:

Watching this is surreal. In my field, I've seen the effects of overexposure to radioactive sources on people...and I'm talking about Cobalt 60 or Iridium 192 pills no larger than an aspirin. Guys accidentally picking up live sources, not realizing it until it burns a hole through their leg. Seeing it on THIS level, though...man this is scary. We have a nuclear plant a couple hours outside of Houston. I dread the idea of some Three Mile Island, Chernobyl type thing happening out there. It would be mass hysteria.

Brooklyn son
Googled Boris Shcherbina (the Minister dude in charge of the investigation) to see how long he lived after the investigation...dude died in 1990 in Moscow. Cause of death classified by the KGB.

Either he died from exposure to the radiation or they killed him since he couldn't silence Legasov

No Whammies!!
Look who's at the top of the list.

IMDb Top Rated TV Shows

It's not television, it's HBO. :wow:
I doubt that will last, but I'm SHOCKED that this show is as great as it is.

In one way, it kind of reminds me of "The People Versus OJ".
When you hear they're making a show about it, you think "What's the point? We all know how its going to end before it even starts!"

Then when you get to the actual show, you realize you hardly know anything at all. I didn't expect this show to be a real life horror movie.
