These are the same people that built segregation from Australia to Europe to South Africa to the US at the expense of black people. Whites have only criminalized young black men since integration. They refuse to teach black kids their history outside of slavery and segregation to create an education environment that breeds self-hate. Black male charter schools have the highest success rate because they instill confidence in young black men. I am in full support of more schools like this in the inner city.

black kids should be taught at an early age by qualified black teachers that understand them and the communities they come from. Seems like a no brainer to me.

There are a LOT of private schools around this country that were started specifically because of integration, and most of those schools are still 95%+ white to this day.

And to me this is what it comes down to.

Been looking at Teach for America after I graduate and I find out it's mostly a way for rich white folks to pad their resume. They don't give a shyt about the kids or have any context as to life outside of the classroom in some of these tough areas. Two years and they're out. A lot don't make it that long.

Like @blackzeus said, we need qualified individuals from the community teaching (and policing but that's another story) the kids from that area. And not just algebra.

That's another problem I'd have with the program. Life outside of the classroom isn't a vacuum and you have to learn how to deal with people who come from different backgrounds. And you sure have to learn how to deal with folks who aren't gonna show you any love

But then again, why are negroes are always a staunch opponent of black-chartered schools? This reminds me of a case in Toronto where they tried to set up a Nubian school for black kids, but the main person who was AGAINST such a thing was a black mother whose son was killed. I don't even remember who did it. SHe was preaching that we should "integrate" and all that jazz, but EVERY OTHER ethnic group and religious affiliation has their own schools, so why can't we??

I agree with that, I practically went to predominately black schools from middle to college. When I got out in the real world surrounded by whites and being a true minority it caught me off guard a lot and I had to go through a few years of adjusting.

Hell like that gothic shyt in hs? I swear my school didn't have one gothic pale, dark hair, weird make up white person in my school.

They were mainly wiggers on some Eminem itish to just casual plain white folks.


I don't think this is really that good of an idea, to a degree I'm still trying to adjust to white folks and not be socially awkward around them

Umm I did too throughout my gradeschool years, and yes it was hard to adjust with all these different ethnicity when I went to college.

BUT since you didn't say you were in a school that is specifically created to teach young black minds, thus it wasn't necessary to teach you what you would be dealing with when you graduate. I bet most of the teachers in high school were non-black?
