How do you know whether or not the child’s parents died? Why are you quick to assume the child was “thrown away”?
Even if that were the case, it doesn’t give her the right to act carte Blanche with the child. This is tantamount to child abuse.

The issue is that a small child should not be able to make such large decisions without understanding the ramifications. Also, we don’t know what happens in the privacy of their home, so discomfort comes from the assumption that she is influencing these behaviors.
A 3-7 year old should not be making choices on their gender identity. It’s reckless parenting. The long term effects are huge and you don’t let kids (who are whimsical and ignorant) make life altering choices. A huge part of parenting is protecting your child, sometimes from themselves
