So you're saying ward would have only been as good as bum ass trent dilfer? Wonderlic eh?
Dilfer was a starting QB for like 10 years and won a SB. Obviously he had plenty of flaws but he had a better, more successful career than 95% of QBs drafted and better than most drafted in the first round. Like I said, Maybe Ward would have a better career as he certainly had talent but so did Dilfer. Plenty of talented QBs dont play nearly as much as Dilfer did and if youre claiming to know for sure how Ward’s career wouldve turned out youre lying

Being really liberal with the word “won”. Dude had 12 TDs and 11 INTs that year in Baltimore. He also has a full 16 games started on his record where he threw 4 TDs to 18INTs. He would’ve been out of the league after that if he played in this era

maybe……Peterman still exists

He was my favorite college player in the 90s because he was the reason I started watching college football.

I still rate him above most of the QBs that came after him.
I LOVED that Florida State team. And then Nebraska right after with Tommy Frazier. THere was a great couple of years for black college QBs.

I remember my uncs would stan the shyt out this dude, when he was at FSU in the 90s. I was a kid. You know how good...that ngga had to be athletically to ball out at powerhouse QB, at FSU in the 90s...then decide your just gonna go the NBA to ball out for the Knicks back then?

Dude is a legend frfr...same as Deion...same as Bo Jackson

You clearly googled "trent dilfer career statistics" and was blinded by that ravens team that had possibly the best defense ever :mjtf:

Not at all. Im a Canes fan by birth so I loved that Ravens squad. Point is you can call the man trash all you want but he was the best QB on his team a lot of years and he was an NFL starter for a long time. Did something right

And Doug Edwards was out there too. Sucked in the league but was pretty serviceable big dude

Doug Edwards was big time HS player and damn good college player. Rodney Dobard was good big on that team and Andre Reid came off the bench. Squad was loaded but Pat Kennedy was horrible coach. He preceded to load up on McDonald's AA's after this team with awful success given the talent he was able to put on the floor. Many of those top HS players ended up being busts and most say Kennedy was paying them to come to FSU.

anyway, was talking about 2-sport athletes the other day and can never have that convo without mentioning Ward who is one of the greatest ever. they didnt want him to be the first player to go in 1st round NBA and NFL, thats what that was about. cacs wouldve never been able to duplicate that feat. Hell, hard for anyone to duplicate it.

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
If he would've gone to the NFL, he would've been in one of the weakest QB draft classes of all time :scusthov:

Heath Shuler and Trent Dilfer went in the first round. That's it The next QB didn't get drafted until the 4th round and the best QB from that class was Gus Frerotte who got picked in the 7th round.

So if Ward came out he would've got drafted by Washington, or Tampa Bay. He wouldn't have succeeded with those franchises. And I think he knew that. Basketball....... it's not much to brag about :unimpressed: and I'm a Knicks fan.
