I know some of y'all aren't big fans of Bomani Jones, but he did a good segment today (via his radio show) on King and the way he's whitewashed, especially in regards to the actual celebration of his birthday. He also discussed the quote about King's true feelings toward white moderates. Check it out instead of listening to these uber rich bammas discuss topics that they can't/won't provide any nuance to.

fukk Bomani, I"m sure he will tell used King was all for feminism as well, maybe how women being able to attack men and call them ****** is a sign of progress

Yall need to do like me and stop watching them pregame, half time and post game shows. shyt bad for your health as a black person.

Just watch the damn game and that is it.
This is the only way

You all should stop being outraged by outrageous and ignorant things said by ignorant people.

It's a distraction and you all fall for it.

Martin Luther King is one of the best things to happen to black folks when he was alive but post mortem he has been turned into one of the worst. They have turned him and his message into the image of the docile negro we should all strive to be by liberal white folks.

Time to reclaim him and his message. Especially in the times we are living in.

Dude you are a fukking clown.
He is right

It was never that deep. Their opinions ain't change.

You just got more educated and see through it.

It's like listening to a rapper you thought was deep as a kid but realize they were only surface level and you are more well versed.

I think the TNT show wasn't talking about social issues much in the past and when they did, they took no controversial positions.

Yeah the last 3 or 4 years Bomani has done this and even spoken how MLK was more radical and militant than folks give him credit for (calling for boycotts and calling out the military industrial complex).

:smh:

Crazy is that c00n ass Barkley comes from Alabama

Charles changed his style up once he retired and went on tv. Dude was one of the most hated black athletes when he played. Dude would go in on white folks and even call out the media on racism.

I remember him going in on media members as a 76er and calling them out on racism saying they didn't like him cause he was a outspoken black man.

But going in on white folks ain't gonna get you 30 mill on tv to talk.

I have said before these kats on tv are paid to say what the producers / company want them to say. Cause they have no real skill and they can get someone else to do their job for them.
