He should’ve kept that information to himself. Stupid nikka could’ve boosted himself in her eyes by saying he’ll pay the overwhelming part of the bills(even though he payed for the house already) and have her pay everything else. She still would’ve thought he was great and he could’ve pocketed the rest.

If they weren't lovers, this would be an open and shut case - a friend paying his/her buddy rent at a great discount under his roof than what was being dished out before...sounds like a steal.
There is something very odd to me about this situation though...it does sound funny to charge your girlfriend rent. On the same token, if it were the other way around, it would probably still sound very strange to me - a man paying rent to his lady to live with her under roof...
Who the hell knows? Never had the pleasure of living with a man before marriage so I don't know...maybe this is normal in a lot of situations...
