This feels like a realistic landing spot and it makes sense because he can cover Trae's man.
They'd be a backup guard/6th man away from looking like a competent team I think.

This is going to be one of the most anticipated NBA seasons in years. The excitement is already palpable. So many storylines and competitive teams.
?? 34 year old Lowry is making $30 million annually; plenty of teams who lose the Giannis sweepstakes next offseason (if he even hits free agency to begin with) will be lining up to offer Jrue in his prime way more than his player option. He ain't like CP3 who's gonna be 36 and owed $44 million as the head of the player's union, THAT'S someone who's not in a position to turn down the final year on their contract.

Bro... Al fukking Horford makes $28 million annually. Tobias Harris $33 million a year till 2024. Fred Vanvleet is rumored to be getting MAX offers from desperate teams like the knicks. Jrue Holiday in his prime will be getting a $20+ million a year deal for multiple years when he hits free agency, WAY, way more than a measly $27 million player option. It's not even a debate or opinion... it is 100% guaranteed to fukking happen. You're the silly one if you think that's weird or uncalled for
