I'm not caught up on the moves, Europeans have proved you don't need fancy dribbling to be effective in beating NBA defenses. The thing that is impressive in the videos is the decisiveness in plays, you have an all-star game and the guys look like they've been playing together all their lives. It's one dribble pass off, or two dribbles pass off and cut, just a lot of common sense on display.

Watched and mixed the 1973 all-star game n :damn: I jus fully realized how physical that game was played

look more like a playoff game at times than an all star game

any1 else notice a big difference in the amount of teamwork and defense bein played (specificly first half)?, looks like the modern all-star game starts off a less serious and was played to entertain, they were having fun that first half puttin on a dunk exhibition. It does pick up though in the 2nd half, but then I also noticed a big difference in the amount of open floor spacing - the modern game is wide open, where as it look very crowded in 72 and 73 by comparison w/o the well established 3 point threat structured into the offense. Seems like theres no room allowed for full-head-of-steam layups and dunks in those 70's games with those defensive minded bigs roaming a crowded lane - both eras definitely look like great basketball, its just interesting how different the game looks through just subtle changes of rules play style - the game has definitely evolved to showcase more open court style athleticism

Archie Clark ...the og of the euro step

I could be wrong but I think Baylor layed the groundwork for the Eurostep and Clark probably developed his move from there (see Baylor @ 3:31)
