ATL, but rasied in DMV
How not? I stay on the eastside now and you can see the difference between Decatur Square and the rest of the Dec. Nevermind the notoriously broke southside. This is a city of haves and have-nots, and just because nikkas with money are more visible than cacs doesn't mean there's actually more of them.
What is considered the southside today?

I grew up in ClayCo and used to go to my parents' friends' house off Wesley Chapel as a kid so that's all the Decatur I knew. Fast forward to being 19 and meeting this chick who takes me to Java Monkey(RIP) and I'm like "bih where are we? This ain't no fukkin Decatur :dahell: "

That must be 2 sides shyt ain't only for the westside :pachaha:
Lol I’m from Candler Rd. I can count on my hands how many times I went to downtown Decatur :mjlol:

Memorial Dr was as far north I’d go. Downtown Dec was like a different city to me.

Too many TLRepublicans mocking and belittling poor black people, saying arrogant shyt like "I got mines, fukk everyone else" and " that's capitalism, I cannot change it"

The Civil Rights generation didn't die for that European mindset. Too many of yall drank the kool aid of vulture capitalism. No wonder crime is so bad in ATL.

That’s why I said Atlanta CITY limits not the Decaturs, East Points, or Suburb Counties and Cities. That would make sense being the city proper.

:pachaha:Once you go under that bridge, it’s a completely different Decatur. My dentist office and first job was in downtown Decatur.

People not from Atlanta don’t even understand there are 2 Decaturs. They visit downtown Dec, see how nice it is and wonder why 21 Savage act like it’s hood :francis:
That's the actual CITY of Decatur. Places where nikkas like 21 from just have a Decatur mailing address. They really ain't from no city, just unincorporated Dekalb County.

People keep saying the metro as if the metro area has more rich black folks than white
The thread isn’t about that though. It’s about the wealth GAP. The idea is that the gap would be smaller, not that it wouldn’t exist or that there would be more well off black people than white people. Atlanta is not majority black, nor is the metro Atlanta area.

As someone who lives in the metro area, I know zero black people who I worked with who actually live in the city. Half of my white coworkers live in the city.
