That’s not true, lots of mixed folks in Africa.
That's not the point. The point is, despite however many mixed ppl there are in Africa, they were telling US that our light skinned family members 'weren't black'. How would they know? According to every African I've heard speak both publicly and privately, they didn't even refer to themselves as 'black' until they got here. According to them, it's a new concept. Cool, so how you gon regulate MY shyt? Don't make no sense.

This one of the most disrespectful shyts I've ever read. Then again like @Rawtid said, it seems like we talk among each other and the perspectives are different. Idk. From my experience, c00ns, not Black American or African are the ones who fall in line. Everyone else just trying to be their best selves.

This site has a real narrow minded view of Africans. From there or 1st/2nd generation. It's incredible to read the bullshyt I see on here.

:francis:
It is what it is... Think about it, America has for centuries showed a disdain for black people, ADOS bore the brunt of that hatred. To keep white supremacy in place do you really the US would willingly let black people like Kwame Ture to link up with brothers like Huey P. this day and age after the panthers had America shaking in its boots? Hell no,they screen the fukk out black immigrants so they wouldn’t let the next Kwame in. You’re lying to yourself if you think America doesn’t prefer the keep your head down types

There’s no diaspora war breh, it’s just AA’s calling out how everyone else gets down and the fukk shyt which occurs(all the other diasporians advocating solely for their own ethnicity/nationality; the disrespect towards AA society).

Me, nor ADOS people as a collective have no qualms w/ other diasporians, we just advocating for our own interests just like y’all(the rest of the diaspora) do.
One paragraph is bullshyt, this thread is the proof.

One paragraph is shyt ya'll always say but rarely does it hold truth with most posters claiming your set. Let's be real. The real gs be in the reparations threads and the actions threads. Not no white production TV show threads like this

While people from the US Virgin Islands are not immigrants, The US Virgin Islands were a Danish colony until 1917.

Slavery was outlawed there in 1848.
Anyone from the US Virgin islands technically has to go to Denmark for their reparations :hubie:
I never said they were descendant of American chattel slavery. I just said those people are also American which is fact. One of my uncles is from there and was in the Navy. A lot of them join the military

They’re full of shyt and lying. You brought up new world and old world, but yet you have mixed Africans like Thandie Newton or Carmen Ejogo and no one questions their blackness. There are family members who look more mixed than both in AA families, and they don’t understand why we call em black but it’s not for them to understand.

That's a dumb chick, she will believe anything anti Caribbean and African if one is giving an opinion, she will take it as fact. fukk her

Aye chill out.

@Captain_Crunch is a good dude but you listen to Tariq, Yvette and em and they will have you thinking every African or Caribbean is a crook or c00n. He started to buy into the ducktales and now he is saying things he wouldn't like if it was said about Black folks.

This Yvette and Tone shyt is simply the magic of Steve Bannon and the white supremacists. Did you know Tone was a prosecutor for LA county. He was locking nikkas up like Kamala

Lies, they(Tone; Yvette, Riq) have never said all Africans are c00ns or criminals. They’re just saying that they and the rest of the diaspora are reaching out to help us, and we(AA’s) need to prioritize our own interests.

I asked the following question several times to my cousin(who is a staunch Pan-Africanist) and couldn’t get a legit answer. How is the rest of the diaspora collectively helping AA’s? Each time I asked, I got troll responses.

You nikkas are looking for saviors, which is why you have this innate desire to have someone speak for you in public venues instead of becoming active yourself.
:what: Why do you keep randomly mentioning saviors?

I notice black people spend a lot of time delineating why exactly they shouldn't gaf about important shyt, but then admire and look up to other groups who don't let shyt slide whatsoever. Keep that same energy when the demographics of your city/ occupation/ life change, that's all i have to say. :manny:

As I said before, I think you're a quality poster, and I agree that there is definitely hurt on both sides

But this show IS NOT something that African people should be rallying around

It's purposefully divisive imo

Oh I'm not rallying around it all. I dont watch it and I think that dialogue was totally unnecessary and intentionally divisive
