IT WILL ALWAYS BE JORDAN FOLLOWED BY KAREEM FOR ME....EVERYBODY ELSE RANK THEM HOW U PLEASE

Truthfully the only reason Jordan is #1 is cause of hype. In terms of pure resume nobody is touching Kareem. He's got as many titles as Jordan (6), more MVPs (6 to 5), is the all-time leading scorer (while Jordan is #4), and had greater longevity than just about anyone. If Michael Jordan didn't come along in the 1990s when mass media was exploding and he wasn't such an exciting athletic player, he wouldn't be considered this unanimous GOAT. In reality Kareem and Bill Russell have as strong a claim to being the GOAT as Michael Jordan.

Is difficult to actually rank players. I personally think tiers are better. I would rank guys resumes this way:

Tier One = Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Bill Russell, Michael Jordan (all have at least 6 championships and 5 regular season MVPs)

Tier Two = Magic Johnson, Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan (all have at least 5 championships and a regular season plus finals MVP)
Tier Three = Shaquille O'Neal, Larry Bird, LeBron James (all have at least 3 championships and a regular season plus finals MVP)
Tier Four = Wilt Chamberlain and Hakeem Olajuwon (have at least 2 championships and a regular season plus finals MVP)

We can argue about whether guys with more MVPs like Wilt deserve to be ranked over guys with more championships like Shaq. Or whether guys with more MVPs like LeBron deserve to over guys with more championships like Kobe. But the truth is there really ain't no GOAT. There's 3 guys with better resumes across the board from everyone else (Jordan, Kareem, and Russell). Everyone else in the top 10 has strengths and weaknesses against the others.

It's too bad Kobe owns Duncan's soul in the playoffs :coffee:

Spurs struggled after the 99 title and before Manu and Tony came into their own. But none of which was Duncan's fault. Pretty sure he was the MVP in 02 but was just surrounded by scrubs.

Owning his soul :camby:
Owning someone's soul is when you bytch slap them by 30 on their home floor in a win or go home game. Causing you to cry and then rape a girl in the off season...allegedly

He's apparently the second greatest player of all-time. That should be good enough to beat Kevin Durant and overrated media creation Steph Curry.

Stop with this bullshyt of trying to build up the Warriors to protect LeBron's legacy if he loses. This Warriors team would get worked by the 2008 Celtics. By the early 2000 Lakers. By the 90s Bulls. Etc.

They are not an unbeatable team. They are just a team with one great player (Durant) and a good supporting cast.

LeBron has a better sidekick in Kyrie than Durant has in Steph.

The Cavs should win the championship if LeBron is as great as the media says he is.

Chris Paul and Scottie should not be ahead of Wade, but I'm not even surprised.

Top 30 should be

1. Michael Jordan
2. LeBron James
3. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

4. Wilt Chamberlain
5. Kobe Bryant
6. Magic Johnson
7. Tim Duncan
8. Shaquille O'Neal
9. Larry Bird
10. Hakeem Olajuwon
11. Oscar Robertson
12. Bill Russell
13. Jerry West
14. Julius Erving
15. Kevin Garnett
16. Moses Malone
17. Karl Malone
18. Charles Barkley
19. Kevin Durant
20. Isiah Thomas
21. Dwyane Wade
22. Dirk Nowitzki
23. John Stockton
24. David Robinson
25. Scottie Pippen
26. Stephen Curry
27. Elgin Baylor
28. Jason Kidd
29. Chris Paul
30. Steve Nash

That's insulting to the history of the game. I never saw Kareem play so I ain't gonna argue he's better than LeBron based on the eye test. And I don't think you can either since I doubt you are the old. All we have to go on is basketball resumes. And there is nothing LeBron currently has on Kareem.

Kareem has more championships (6 to 3).
Kareem has more MVPs (6 to 4)
Kareem is the all-time leading scorer. LeBron is currently 8th.
All-NBA teams, All-Star selections, etc. all are to Kareem's advantage right now.

Could LeBron pass him? Sure. But right now its disrespectful to the history of the game to have him ranked ahead of Kareem. Especially if you never watched Kareem in his prime.

Fake news. What do their peers think? You want to play that game? Never thought a militant like you would choose Cacs words over black men. @Malc00n should be your name

It's ok, you should be used to this by now, the Great One being ranked ahead of your false god.

Being down 3-1 with the other team having 2 out of the next 3 games in their arena?
If Horry hadn't saved Kobe in game 4, then the refs would not have been able to save them in game 6.

It's also funny that Kobe wasn't the best player on his team in the first 4 finals he attended.
Kings got saved in gms 2 and 5. Stern didn't want another 15-1 run.
