Wrong. I don't give a shyt because this "controversy" should've ended when Culliver apologized (even though he didn't write it himself). But, no, the boy didn't do enough to appease those he offended. As if attending sensitivity training is going to change his way of thinkng? :childplease:

:aicmon:

It does change his way of thinking. He's going to think twice before talking reckless about a group of people or else he'll be unemployed.

Culliver is a dummy but lets say he was religious and made anti-gay remarks (i.e. that through his religious teachings he doesn't support homosexuality). The same groups would still be coming at his head and he'd still be forced to apologize or risk losing his job.

That's an issue. We as a society don't need to be picking and choosing between religious beliefs and the gay community and deciding who is on the "right" side and supporting one and not the other. We should stay the fukk out of it. Each group should have their right to say and do as they please as long as they aren't breaking laws, harming others, etc.

Understandably, the NFL is going to be concerned with sponsors, losing fans, etc.. and the 49ers as an organization will have similar concerns and obviously there is also a large gay community in SF as well. But even so, the media at the very least should be staying out of it...

The media's simply gonna jump on the story because it's a controversial story that brings up issues editorial writers can harp on for days. This is where having a million a$$holes with opinions doesn't work in anyone's favor.

:what: are you disgusted about? You nyggas turn into card carrying White Supremacist when it comes to gay people.

"We're losing our country"

"My freedoms to be a bigot are being taking away"

Stfu breh. This dude deserves what he got. He's lucky he even has a job today. Say that shh in your next company meeting and see where it gets you.

Why is it that people like you assume that people like me dislike gays? Because I'm not a card carrying Gay Rights Advocate? I wouldn't say what Culliver did at a company meeting because I'm wise enough to know that gays are everywhere (including nfl locker rooms). They deserve equality just like everyone else. But I'm also aware that not everyone feels the way I do. That's why the Culliver story didn't move me one way or the other. I didn't respond until this sensitivity training news came up. I, personally, just think there's more important things to be pissed off about (racial profiling, senseless murders in the blk community, unemployment, etc.)

I didn't even know who Culliver was until Artie Lange interviewed him. But I wish the young man well. After he's done with his sensitivity training, hopefully he'll attend a few public relations classes as well. :smugdraper:

I'll be curious to see what the media says if Culliver has a Revis-like game tomorrow. :blessed:
