If you only count solo albums, then I'm going with Rakim or Nas. It was like rap just changed with them.

Tupac doesn't fit here because it was more like he caught and became the pinnacle of the movement more so than being someone whose charisma could be imitated. There a reason why Pac was Jesus, but Nas wrote the Bible.

Tupac never made Illmatic. Tupac never could have made Illmatic. Illmatic completely revolutionized lyricism in rap, to the point where it influenced and changed Pac's style almost immediately. There was also a way in which Nas portrayed hood life that was more subtle and revealing than anything that had been done before, whereas Tupac tended more towards bravado (though I think he also got influenced to go this direction by Nas at times as well).

ITs funny, the same people talking about how bad the Cavs’ opposition has been throughout this win streak, are the same people who were pointing out stats (and now conviently forgetting) that showed how historically bad the Cavs were just a month or so ago.

Before it was they’re so bad, they’re defense and efforr and offense is bad. @Gil Scott-Heroin writing 4 page essays about how they’re too old, and they’re not making the finals and there’s a changing of the guard (premature early season Giannis hype) and how much easier Kyrie made Lebron’s job, and how these Cavs have no legs and no bench.

Here we are now and that all turned out to be

Cavs are now beating the same teams they were losing to when they were so bad, but now that doesn’t count.

They lose to teams, they’re terrible and washed, and not the Class of the East. They beat those teams and they get no credit. Because.. the Cavs (a terrible, historically bad team????) are supposed to beat bad teams? Even though they’re bad themselves?
