We back - incoming fukkery galore

I just love the odd vibe of this entire series from the music and just weirdness of the characters. They just nail the uneasiness and have you eye brow raising every character they introduce. Have to give credit to Murray Bartlett because he really kicked off the strangeness right out the gate in season 1.

Also love the cinematography and palette.

Patrick Schwarzenegger is playing a top tier douchebag right now too

Premiere was less punchy than what I’m used to seeing from the show, it actually feels creepier…which I like. No ‘Weeks Ahead’ preview needed for me tho, I trust Mike to take it home by the end. When that Cristobal score finally kicked in, I was in for the ride. If he was absent, this show wouldn’t feel right. His music is a character in itself.

The theories I’m seeing with a monkey getting a hold of a gun are ridiculous, yet actually plausible given this type of show. Personally don’t see it shaking out that way but would welcome the fukkery.

I’ve warmed up to Posey’s southern accent, but Isaac’s is….rough. I’m most interested in seeing more from Posey tho. That family is all the way fukked up and them siblings are on some Game of Thrones shyt.

Lookin’ like another case of the ladies out on a girls trip to The White Lotus, only to come back home as complete strangers. I know two of them were showering each other in compliments, but I came away thinking the three “cougars” seem to despise each other in some way and only one seems to be less delusional about keeping up that facade. I see some parallels to Sweeney’s and O’Grady’s dynamic back in the first season, but those two were young. These three here are fading with age and that alone could make for a more interesting storyline, IMO. My Leftovers Alum gonna kill this shyt, I just know it.
