the idea was that him and amare ( who was playing at an all star level) were going to play together....hes not a psychic, and he couldnt predict that stat's knees were going to disintegrate like they have.

Melo and Stat playing together probably wouldn't work long term. Both need the ball in their hands to be effective and both players are not good defenders.

My Suns knew Stats knees were a ticking time bomb. The Knicks shouldn't have signed him to the max when they didn't have to worry about any other teams willing to pay him max money. Then again Dolan would have probably ignored the gm's negotiations and signed Stat to the max anyway.

The issue I take with this is that unless it's a VERY small and select group of people odds are these "execs" don't know what the fukk they're talking about.
