Carmelo is a good player but his greed one of the reasons why the Knicks can't win a title. If he signed with the Knicks after his contract expired the Knicks would have had a better supporting cast around him. Instead he wanted to go to his team of choice and get paid the most money possible and by doing that he killed the Knicks chances at making any good roster moves.

Also the Knicks as a organization is a joke. They were the only team dumb enough to pay Amare max money when my Suns (and every team in the league) knew that his knees were shot. Also their owner sucks and is the main reason why they can't get even close to getting to the finals. As long as Dolan is the owner of the Knicks they will never win a title.

If the knicks hadnt sank 20 million a year into a player that cant even contribute anymore, then we would have a much different squad. Thats not melo's fault, and its not his responsibility to take far less money, in order to compensate for the Knicks ineptitude and mistakes. You also fail to recognize Melo's obligations to the players league, who arent in the business of having their best players take far less than what they can earn in the open market. Before you talk about Lebron and the heat, that was a unique situation, and they didnt take much less than the max collectively. Melo had no idea what the ramifications were going to be after the new bargaining agreement was in place.

Plus, if he leaves as a free agent, he fukks the nuggets over and they would start crying about how he did them wrong. Cant win...

If Kevin Love woulda accomplished the bolded, they would have already put him on Mt. Rushmore, but somehow Melo isnt a "winner" because he hasnt singlehandedly beaten great teams that were clearly better than his. The fact that they are trying to draw marbury comparisons just shows you hate deep the hate for melo runs, and how malicious their commentary is concerning him. Marbury was a chemically imbalanced head case, who went to the playoffs like twice in his career, never making it out of the first round, and had frequent and notorious meltdowns.

Melo is the new A.I to whiteys...the NBA nicca they love to hate, and who stands for everything thats "wrong" with the league.

no Kobe went off on ownership because dude knew the state his knee was in and that he couldn't continue doing this. The only reason we got embarrassed by Dallas in 11-12 was b/c of Kobe's knee. Phil Jackson did write about the amount of pain Kobe was in b4 adn after games.

the idea was that him and amare ( who was playing at an all star level) were going to play together....hes not a psychic, and he couldnt predict that stat's knees were going to disintegrate like they have.

in 08, We were down double digits against spurs in game 1 i think. Kobe brought us back and we won that game. Kobe bailed us out numerous times against Denver(and Utah). I remember that one time Denver came and won a game on our floor took Home Court away from us. Denver would have won game 3 if not for Kobe. George Karl ran out of words to praise Kobe during those series.

The only reason we felt like we could those series was because of Kobe. Think about it, Kobe at 34 was better than Melo currently in his prime and we still didn't win. We know what a franchise player is supposed to look like and thats not Melo
